This engine and B unit was donated to our train club a couple months ago.  It's in really good shape, runs good, no cracks in the shells.  Is it a rare engine ?     We don't have any use for it and thinking about selling it.  Could you advise us on a fair asking price.   There is one on ebay for $425 with a caboose but that seems pretty high.

Thanks for any advice you may be able to share about this ,

Many eBay sellers think they have gold so there is, many times, a sizable difference between what they were asking and what they actually got.

I would say that Chuck’s estimate is in the ballpark.  Trainz sold a 224 AB set for $228.99 on eBay back in February (plus $15.41 shipping).  They appeared to be in similar, excellent condition.  Because of the condition I would put them out there for $250-$275.  You can always mark it down.
