TEAM TRACK TUESDAY !!!! Share your team track photos here! Team tracks are a vital part of day to day real railroad operations. Freight cars of nearly every type can be off/on loaded on team tracks. Additionally some passenger head end equipment, and MOW equipment can also be off/on loaded on team tracks. A team track is a siding/spur that are not dedicated for any one kind of industry. Team tracks are usually owned by the railroad as a opposed to an industrial spur which is owned by the industry which the spur serves, such as a cement plant or oil company. Team tracks are found in rural areas, small towns, and large cities.
If you have a loop of tinplate track with a siding/spur OR if you have a super detailed layout OR if you have something in between, feel free to post photos of what's happening on your railroad's team track.
This week on the Free State Junction Railway's team track 1, in lower Patsburg, there is a B&O express refer loaded with seafood from the Chesapeake Bay being off loaded onto a Phillips Seafood cargo truck. A new Phillips Seafood Restaurant has opened in Patsburg and the B&O is the conduit, from Baltimore, bringing great seafood and crabs to be enjoyed by the locals in Patsburg. Incidentally, Phillips is a real Baltimore City restaurant located in the Inner Harbor. ( Btw - rumor has it that Mr. Haney owns a piece of the Phillips business. ) Still have not seen Mr. H around.
We had some great posts last week!! So, share in the fun and post your team track photos here!
Have a wonderfully creative week everyone!!! AND remember those brave men who landed at Normandy France on this date in 1944! See ya next week on the TEAM TRACK!!!
