when the summer projects, outdoor activities, & the better weather up here in the North East all conspire against me & my basement hobbies. The plastic wrap coverings over the layouts went up this weekend since I noticed that I haven't spent much time downstairs in a few weeks after the weather broke back in April, theres' just no time - thats' the cycle of it all in Summer here- you cram 10 million other activities into every weekend from now until October. We'l see how the next train season goes this fall. Dad has been gone 4 years this September & Jr graduates High School in 2 weeks so I'm a little worried that its' going to be only me down there pretty soon. Time goes by too fast...

What Mr Coniglio said.  All 3 sons have moved away from toy trains.  Of 3 grandsons, one really (and I mean really) likes toy trains.  He is almost 8.  I enjoy the time spent with him as he is really interested and I have already given him a few pieces for his carpet central.  He started with Thomas like a lot of kids.  Now has a Williams GP 38 Chessie that will pull anything.
