Just read a December 2012 post titled "JT's Megasteam revisited" discussing expiration/staleness of smoke fluid. Does the age of smoke fluid only significantly affect the strength of the scent's odor or the volume of the smoke output too? Do any manufacturers of smoke fluid date their product labeling it "best if used by ..., or expires ..., or manufacturerd ...?" I'd guess those of us who either don't use smoke fluid on a regular basis or just use it seasonally for holiday displays only a few weeks or months each year, such "date" of "freshness" information printed on every smoke fluid bottle would be invaluable and helpful to us getting the most smoke from our trains. (It would even let all users know how old the fluid was when it was purchased and if the dealer has stocked for a long time.)
