Well it's June.....the expected delivery date of MTHs new debut of the 44 Tonner.

Don't hold your breath, I believe I heard it was pushed back, probably significantly.
Way significantly, I was told. For now I think we have to be content with the WBB. That isn't too difficult . . .
MTH's Facebook page told me end of this year/early 2016. Don't expect it anytime soon.
Good idea - it would come out in the wake of the WBB 44T buying spree.
I know - some/many would only have one or the other, but there are many of us
who actually considered both. Now, I may again consider the MTH - because it is die-cast - when and if it indeed does show up. (We seldom mention it, but the WBB unit is actually -mostly- die-cast, itself; the upper body is plastic, but otherwise it's a zinc loco.)
Really, neither of them do it for me completely - I run TMCC. But I'll now re-consider the MTH next year.
I converted my WBB to TMCC/RailSounds with electrocouplers, but if the MTH one looks good, I may just add it to the fleet.
