So if you want to add life to your layout. MTH, Lionel, Woodland Scenic or any other well known manufacturer doesn't have what you're looking for, where might you look? For example, you have a lumber or coal scene and your looking for figures/props to bring it to life. Are we out of luck? Do you have to hope we know someone with a 3D printer or am I missing something? TY

A 3D printer is probably the best way to unique figures. I also think the best figures are Arttista. They are very well executed and reasonably priced.

Agree with George above...Arttista are at the top of my list also...selection is broad. Preiser has a limited offering of 1/43 and 1/48 among other scales. They offer a 6 piece set of "workers" and a set of "construction guys" in O scale that could fit many venues on the layout. Several years ago P was among the higher priced options for figures, but now many of the others have caught up and in some instances surpassed their price points...
Thanks guys. I've checked ebay and been to train shows with little luck. I will try arttista.
Well, adding life is easy, just depends on what life, and if you want the "high rent district" people. How close are guests going to look?
