I was finally able to add one of the smaller Lobaugh locos to my layout/collection at the Muncie, Indiana show yesterday. A fine older gentleman and his wife were selling a collection of 2 rail(most I have ever seen at this show). Prices were awsome across the board on all the bits and bobs, $10 freight cars, $25 for unbuilt freight car kits ect. I gave $150 for the SP 0-6-0 with the Vanderbilt tender, nicely painted, directional lights. He also had a small brass 2-8-0, unknown importer but marked Samhongsa on the bottom for $150 that was nicely painted. I also got some freight car trucks, a lighted Tomar ground throw w/lantern, a beater SP caboose built from a wood kit and some Kaydees out of the boxes of stuff. It was a lifetime collection from a layout they took down. The 0-6-0 has the field wound motor in it, but the rectifier was bad(typical issue), So right now its wired to just go forward till I get a new rectifier for it. Runs great making those great open frame motor smells. Now I am hunting one of the Lobaugh SP cabooses and some of the SP reefer cars so I can built an ice dock to switch them into for reicing. AD.
