I recently purchased an old, but new in the box K-Line K705-2111 UP Railroad Police Camera Car.

It is a nice looking car that comes with a UP police car and a helicopter besides the mounted camera.

Problem is it uses old technology, that is a single yellow composite video cable between the receiver and your laptop screen.

I purchased a TOTMC composite to USB Video Capture adapter with software so that I can hook it up to my laptop but I do not get a signal and no video. The software can use the camera in my laptop and appears to be working just fine until you try to use the camera on the K-Line car.

Has anyone else experienced this problem? I am wondering if I would just be better off purchasing a new technology camera car from some other source than put any more time and money into this one. If I did want a good new Camera Car what would be a good one to buy?

Thanks,

There are tons of small cameras that broadcast quality color signals, you can have the camera and receiver for under $50.  These are some that I have here.  The first is the receiver for either of the cameras, the second is a camera that requires a power supply, I use a cheap AC-DC module to power them.  The last one has a rechargeable battery.  The numbers are current eBay auction numbers.
