I just picked up my first K-Line diesel, a NYC F3 ABA set with TMCC. I knew they were available in both conventional and TMCC and that many if not all A units had dual motors. What I didn't know is they appeared to be ahead of the curve on the 3RS thing. Included with the engine were a second pilot that could be mounted to the chassis and had either a scale coupler or cover for the coupler like the prototype. The truck mounted pilot could also be blanked off if desired. Also short dummy couplers were provided to close the coupling gap between the units. The class lights toggle between green and red depending on direction.
All three units have smoke units. The biggest surprise is these 2004 engines came with factory cruise and the sounds have plenty of volume.
I ended up installing the fixed pilot with front coupler hidden (removed actually) and shorter dummy couplers. I also replaced the 2 inch electro coupler on the rear A unit with a 1 3/4" one to keep the remote coupler functional.
Here are some pics.

Bottom line is I am very please with these and hope other manufacturers would take note and include options like these.
