Found these cars to be interesting. Decided to collect them.

So far I have:

K-515708 - K-Line Loves New England Boxcar

K-515802 - K-Line Loves America Boxcar

K-641-740801 - K-Line Loves Chicago Boxcar

K-641-740802 - K-Line Loves New York Boxcar

K-641-740803 - K-Line Loves Philadelphia Boxcar

K-641-740801 - K-Line Loves Los Angeles Boxcar

I'm looking for any other in the series - but NOT the individual state cars (got plenty of those from other manufacturers).

Hi Paulp575:

I have what might be the (K-line Loves New York) Box Car that you list above as SKU unknown. Mine comes in a plain brown box with the car wrapped in bubble wrap and white labels on both box end flaps. The information on the labels say: K-515709 (one the top line), K-line Loves New York (one the second line), 027 Boxcar (on the third line).  The graphics on the left side of the car (both sides) say and show, The Finger Lakes, A map of New York State, (the words) Empire State, and a picture of The Statue of liberty. The car has white sides, blue roof and blue ends, blue doors with LOVES on both doors.

I also have a K636-7401, 2001 Toy Fair 3 Dome Tank Car from 2001 when K-Line had a showroom at either 200 Fifth Av. or 1107 Broadway both known as The Toy Buildings.

A K641-7407, Toy Fair 2002 Box Car held in New Jersey when I went to the K-Line show held there in conjunction with the annual American Toy Show that was being held in New York City.

A K641-7413, February Fair Days Boxcar from 2003 also when I went to the K-Line show in New Jersey held in conjunction with the annual American Toy Show that was being held in New York City.

A K641-9018 (#62798) 1998 TCA Convention New Haven CLASSIC Boxcar held in Providence, RI that year.

I really miss K-Line.  They were a class operation with some really great stuff.

THanks for the link.

I previously had checked there to see if anything was listed. None of the "K-Line Loves . . . " boxcars were.

In fact, a while back when the site seemed to be off-line more than online, I meticoslusy downloaded just about every catalog page and copied it and pasted it into a spreadsheet. so I could refer to it when it was offline. Now that it seems to have stabilized and is staying online, I've stopped the spreadsheet project.

K-line surly had some great steam locomotives models at great prices when we pre-ordered them. I believe that last one produced with the Boston & Albany 4-6-4T and other road names as well. When they went out of business in 2005 there were still product in China that was produced and sitting in shipping cartons that was purchased by Lionel in 2008. These were the Metro-Link and Caltrans 18 and 21 inch commuter cars that were first introduced in Toronto. They were in K-line boxes with Lionel shipping labels attached. That was probably the only time something like that happened. i purchased two sets of the Caltrains 18" cars.  In 2002 & 2003 they ran their own train show in near-by New Jersey during the time of annual American Toy Fair that was held in NYC.
