Unfortunately Greenberg didn't do a price guide for K-Line, at least not that I know of.
Somebody did do a product guide with years of products for K-Line but no prices.
The best bet is to check ebay prices or www.choochooauction.com for prices.

Not sure if road names matter but the TMCC K line gp 38 has been going for around $325-350 on Ebay when it pops up. Traditional has been in the mid $100's
Bought an Alaska version 2 years ago for 135.
They're hard to find. I was looking for one for a while. I finally sold off/ am selling most of my PRSL items. PRSL engines can be hard to find at a decent price (ie., what I can afford), so I switched to almost all Pennsy engines. I did order the new MTH PRSL RDCs, though. If anyone offers an AS-16, I'd jump at that , too. $250, Darren, is a very good price for what it looks like you have there.

This version was from 2005 and one of the last GP-38s made by K-line. As such this had cruise control (and smoke) which most of the GP-38s didnt have.
Some of the older gp-38s were conventional and didnt have electrocouplers, smoke and cruise so those don't sell for much.
As for the price guides not listing prices, when K-line was in business there were some legal issues regarding attaching values to the items. From my understanding in conversations with the go-to author of train price guides, Maury D. Klein was firmly against values being attached in the K-line price guide.
