I have a friend's die cast K Line hopper where the one truck has separated from the body. Looks like it was riveted on but the rivet seems to have no or very little holding flange. Does anyone have experience with fixing these? I am assuming I can just drill it out and replace with a new rivet.

The diecast hoppers had diecast trucks which were mounted with shoulder screws, not rivets.
Yep, just replace the screw. If it's not totally off, you just need to use some thread locker and tighten it.
This screw is completely broken in two. I tried to punch it out like a rivet but of course it would not budge due to the threads. Thanks for the help. Now I just have to find a screw.
Anyone know someone who has K Line hardware?
Can you get the broken part out, perhaps with a screw extractor? If you can get that out, I'd try Brasseur Electric Trains for the screw. They have a bunch of K-Line truck screws, the trick will be figuring out which one you need. You can email them questions as well.
If the screw's broken off flush, you're probably better off seeing if Brasseur has the screw and the truck. They are a real pain to get out, if you can.
The screw was broken off just below the head and I managed to get it out by a bit of drilling and just raised the threads enough to hold with a pair of side cutting pliers and unscrewed it! Lowe's had a 4-40 3/8th brass machine screw with threads that fit perfectly. The head is a bit smaller than the original but large enough to keep the truck in place. Fortunately I did not ruin the threads in the truck; the new screw went right in.
Thanks for all the help.
We love a happy ending. Note that I think the original was a shoulder screw to avoid the truck binding, how did you deal with that?
I believe the head fit into the recess where the shoulder of the original screw went. I just did not over tighten it. Also the threads on the original are very small in diameter versus the size of the shoulder and I can see how just a good hit on the side of the truck would snap the threaded part off, which is what must have happened.
Not sure I see how that would work correctly without binding, but as long as it works... If you have problems and the screw isn't broken, it's simple to put the right one in.
