Hi, can anyone give advice if its possible to operate K-Line SuperSnap switches with the Lionel TMCC SC-2 switch controller? and/or are there other components needed? Thanks

Yes. Wire them as described for Lionel switches in the SC-2 manual.
Thanks, great. I have operated Lionel 022 switches with the SC-2 previously and they worked fine.
I have another question regarding these switches. I bought four, installed them on my layout and two worked while the other two just fluttered (rapidly switching back and forth). I narrowed down the problem to the controllers. Eventually I received replacement controllers but they are just standard contact controllers while the original controllers had a circuit board in them. Is a standard contact controller safe to use on a supersnap switch?
THanks
gerald
I believe the circuit board in the K-Line controller has something to do with the motor in the K-Line supersnap switch (vs solenoid used in Lionel 022 switches). be sure to use the proper K-Line switch controller marked L or R on the bottom for use with the right or left hand switch
CMac, I can’t tell you how happy you just made me! I spent months trying get the supplier to resolve my problem. They finally offered the replacement controllers. I have three right hand and one left. One of each did not work. So I took one of the original controllers and making sure to choose the RH one, wired it up and it worked perfect. I guess when I swapped out controllers I always had the wrong one. I will try the other Sunday.
thank you again
K-Line controllers, as you have discovered, have 'R' and 'L' polarity (which drives the red/green LEDs in the controllers). Wiring to as switch controller (SC2, ASC, or ASC2) without the LEDs is no problem.
GerNuss, glad things are working (and in the process I learned that the circuit board has to do with the LED's). you can also find spare Supersnap switch controllers in eBay fairly often. all the best!
How about wiring it to Lionel #818-2007-200? That is the controller the supplier recommended.
