Built my 345 out of parts from under-the-tables, and it worked perfectly the first time I tried it. The 342 had cocoons from something all inside it, but again, after I cleaned it, it also worked perfectly. No electronics to go bad. Good design work back then.

Nice to see as those old postwar accessories will last a lifetime the pullmor motors just need minor maintenance .

Many of the Post War operating accessories are really cool!  They sometimes require a little tweaking but thats part of the fun.

Correct. The Culvert Unloading Station No. 346 was produced for Sears in 1964-65.

This is what I don't understand. How can a company like Lionel remake an old accessory and not get it right. When I was a dealer, this would drive me up a wall.

M.I.C. (Made in China) instead of the USA like back in the day when quality products built to last a lifetime as a priority over the bottom line how to make it as cheaply as possible and a shorter life so the consumer has to buy parts, if even available, and hope to be able to repair it themselves but more likely you'll have to pay to get it fixed unless you're good at figuring out electronic boards and parts or more likely have to replace it. 🚽🙄
