I have a Lionel 4-4-2 from a Pennsy flyer rtr set in the late 1990's. My oldest, (9) like playing with that one. For some reason, it really stinks when the smoke starts. Like it was flooded out with skunked smoke fluid. My wife hates it, but that's the price you pay for creativity- after all, the Nintendo & IPad has no smell...

So before school this morning, Ben was down stairs running the 4-4-2. He must have been pulling too many cars because I hear him yell from downstairs, "DAD! THE STINKY ENGINE BLEW A TIRE!"

It was a matter of time before dad got the traction tire back on, and he was back stinking up the basement...
A few days ago I hear the air whistle blowing, and sounding actually, pretty good. I go down stairs and he has the tender to his lips chasing his sister... Oh well.

This might be a partial burn up...as it still smokes, and still stinks. I was just thinking of disconnecting it...... per my wife's request.
