In spite of paint and camera problems, here are (not as good as hoped) photos of a Lionel #561 I wanted to make into a
hulking monster with flying pumps, Elesco, coal-fired Vanderbilt, and a doghouse. Kind of a hard sell with a blown out
small 0-8-0, but I installed the brass appliances, the brass doghouse kit, and the PVC tender tank, with a Hobby Lobby
measuring cup cut for the tender rear. Tender was modeled after one in the Locomotive Cyclopedia. Also shown with it
are a Marx #1829 converted into a Mikado, with similar treatment, quite some years ago. The Marx STILL needs a brass
headlight upgrade.
