I just wanted to post my positive experience with Lionel service.
I had sent in my Legacy base and Cab 2 to be upgraded to v1.3. I had never done it as things worked fine, plus I guess I didnt pay atttention enough to realize it had to be sent in. Mine was an original issue Base and Cab 2 that I've had since early on.
Right before I sent it in, the direction button stopped working, but I attributed it more to the programming getting messed up when I tried to reprogram than a failure, so I didnt mention it in my service request.
Imagine my surprise today upon opening the box and reading the tech report. They tested and found the direction button did not work, and they replaced the Cab 2 with a new one! Pretty good for a three year old set long out of warranty!
