I've had my 3rd Rail Seaboard E7 since November, but haven't run it much until lately because Scott Mann said in the instructions not to exceed 18 VAC input (my Z750 puts out 21VAC).
A couple of weeks ago I replaced the Z750 brick with a Lionel 180 Powerhouse so I decided to give the engine a test drive.
3rd Rail uses tapered center rollers, at least on this E7, but one of them hangs straight down instead of at an angle. I called 3rd Rail today to see about getting another roller and spoke to Christopher. I wanted to know how much it cost and also how much for the rear bracket for a Kadee coupler (I have a 3-rail engine but want to put Kadees on it and their 2-rail engine has a bracket for mounting them).
Christopher said no problem and that there would be NO cost . I can almost understand the roller (I did offer to pay for it) but the Kadee bracket was not original equipment to this engine!
Not only that, he called back later saying he had them packed and ready to ship in the morning
Everything I've read about 3rd Rail's exceptional customer service is accurate.
Thanks Christopher (and Scott) for fixing me up and making this beautiful Seaboard engine:
