My day is always made when I open the mailbox and the curve of the O Gauge Railroading magazine smiles and greets me.
Right in the beginning of the magazine is a really cool scene that is mysterious at first from the photo, but after reading it my ongoing admiration for Alan Arnold's ability to re-purpose and come up with fantastic ideas, is confirmed.
How does one dream up something like "The Worlds Largest Glass Floor" ?, and then implement it.
The closest thing to that, that I know of is the "Worlds Largest Pancake" hanging on a building wall in the nearby village of Penn Yan, NY.
I really like the little BMW Isetta automobile on the bridge that opens in the front. My uncle had one and I have a story that I will share with Alan about it privately since it is not related to trains.
I encourage other readers to read this one and not just look at the scene. You will be pleasantly surprised at what you will learn.
Cheers,
Mike
