I think the wheel flange is making engine sit up going across the plastic on the switch which in turn loses power and stops. Thanks I’ll look for some. Was wondering if 711 would work they are prewar vs any other are post war?
The geared wheels are probably riding up on the plastic guard rails of the 022's. The solution would be replacing the switches that engine runs on with prewar 011 switches of the same era as your 260. 711's you would have the same problem. You would have success with 027 1121 or American flyer prewar O switches, but the radius would not match Lionel O gauge.
