Thank you Charlie.  This is the first I have seen or heard of this model railroad.

Having just finished working on a telecom project for a year and a half where the company we contracted for expertise was made up of mostly Russians and Ukrainians, I have come to better appreciate them.  At least now I am a lot more familiar with their first names and their humor.

Looks like their highways are right up Lee Willis' alley!  Marvelous!

An amazing layout creation in HO gauge. A size of 800 sq meters probably makes this the largest HO model train layout of all time. Its something like 8608 sq. ft.. You could fit the floor space of three of my homes in that area. It appears that the building and staff needed to design, run, build and maintain this layout is pretty large.

I also wonder how they get the motor vehicles to run on the roads without tracks. We could theorize magnets run under the roads but in some scenes trucks were going over a long bridge with only a thin road below.  My guess is that a length of steel metal strip is placed under the roadway and the vehicles have internal magnets that cause them to track on the path but how does this supply the power?

Back to O gauge!
