I have been using the DCS lash up feature extensively and successfully for many years. I recently updated my DCS system to release level 4.3. I am having lash up problems with 4.3 that I did not have with the previous level. I suspect that MTH is aware of the lash up problems with 4.3. Question, is there any noise as to when MTH is going to release an update to 4.3 that corrects the lash up problems?

Exactly what lashup problems are you experiencing?
My most recent experience is as follows: a lash up of two BL2's. A head engine and a tail engine, both forward running, The lash up runs with the following problems, no smoke and the number lights (four on each unit) flicker. Both engines run as advertised individually. As stated above, the BL2 lash up worked as expected in the previous release. Prior to the BL2's I tried a lash up of two Crocodile's on release level 4.3. The lash up was a head engine, a tail engine, both forward running. I experienced a half dozen or more problems with the Crocodile lash up. Sometimes when I would reverse direction, only one of the two engines would reverse direction, I experienced a range of light (front lights and tail lights) presentations. I expected one light presentation when the lash up was running in the forward direction and one light presentation when the lash up was running in the backward direction, not a half dozen variations. I did not try a Crocodile lash up with the release level that preceded 4.3.

This has been corrected in 4.31 beta.

How often is "sometimes"? Can you be more specific?

Lashup lighting anomalies are known 4.30 issue and are slated to be corrected in 4.31.
Correction to my discussion on the Crocodile lash up. We discovered that the sometime failure of one of the units to reverse direction on the change of direction sequence was attributed to a wire routing problem. I think there was a motor interference issue.
Barry, thanks for your responses. Question, what is the planned release date for release level 4.31?
I like to run big trains. I run in two scales. I had to rebuild my consists and I'm frustrated over how they're still acting w/ 4.3. I'm trying to be patient. I would help test any beta problems in the future if that would help. I'm sure that's not needed. I always wonder how these get released with so many issues. I imagine they are so complex that stuff creeps in?
I have to state that I'm not bashing. It remains my favorite system period. I have owned several others. After ten + years of use, I'm still learning??? (OK, I'm slow!)
Come on MTH. Help a brother out! (4.31)
I recommend people not upgrading to this 4.3 yet, if they run a lot of consists. Maybe I'm over re-acting?

I'm not making any pronouncements at this time. Progress is being made.
Boy Barry, you get all the toys. When you're done we will get it right?
Joe,
you get all the toys. When you're done we will get it right?
Hmmm...maybe!
I would say Barry only get new broken toys which he gets to fix, lucky for us he does all that he does. chief
