Finally got the layout up and running (just track,no scenery,no accesories yet)testing out the track signal, clearances etc. Attempted a lashup consisting of a PM GP30 (purchased new about 8 years ago) and a new PM U25B. Worked great initially but after shutting them down and then restarting, upon attempting to run them, both engines are pulling in opposite directions. I re-entered both locos in a new lashup and the same thing happened again, ran okay the first time out but then both units fought each other on cosecutive start ups. If anyone has experienced this and knows what the problem is I'd appreciate any advice. Thanks.

If your GP30 is proto 2 and it has not run in 8 years, the battery needs to be charged and if it can not hold a charge, replaced with another proto2 battery or BCR. Most likely when you created the lashup, the information was not able to be saved in the engine because of the non-charged battery. Therefore on subsequent start up it would revert to its prelashup condition.
