Cesar,

Thanks for sharing this one last video with us.

Why many of us would envy the chance to have an operating layout like yours, I don't envy the fact that it has to be taken down.  I'm about 1/2 way through taking down my layout (only 11' x 17') and know how much time it takes.

Hope to someday see videos of a new layout.

Jim

Cesar, I have seen a couple other of your videos and your layout is spectacular.  I have envied it since I first saw your video years ago.  I hope you are going to build again,  bigger and better.  I don't know how you could top this one but....  Anyway, good luck with whatever your RR future holds.  BTW, hope you saved all the boxes.  LOL

Rick

This is a huge layout, with a wonderful track plan, lots of entertainment from every angle. Although I did not see the Santa Fe F Unit train run, it was nice to see it on the siding. I really like your track work and creativity. You certainly have a lot of desirable engines and cars and structures, and the unique signs on the buildings are so cool.  I know its going to be hard to take this empire down, however, I hope there will be a layout in Your future.  Thank you for this really nice video. Its a Winner.

Cesar:  Thank you for taking the time to post this video of your wonderful layout.  I really enjoyed the times I was able to attend your open houses after the York shows.  I was so impressed on my first visit when I had just meet you and you placed a CAB 1 remote in  my hand and asked me to help  you run the trains.  My wife and I had a great time running trains meeting you and your dog.  I  hope this video will stay around for a while because there are several scenes I am trying to emulate on my layout and this video really does a  nice job of documenting many of the fine scenes you created.

Sorry to see the layout go but I feel sure you will again impress us with your next creation.  Wishing you all the best in with the tear down and future endeavors.

I have dismantled 6 or more of my own layouts because of a move. They were from medium to large layouts.

After everything is removed from the layout and packed away I used a sawsall to cut the bench work into sections I could then trash. Worked for me.

Dave

Dave, a lot of work is involved. Saved all the legs because they are all cut the same length. Saved some sections with large radii.

Cesar

Guess you only build one "dream layout" in a lifetime. Good luck with the move and keep us posted when you get going on the new layout.

In looking at the video it was amazing and I cant believe the size of your layout. Why the dismantle?? Hope you are rebuilding. Keep us posted

Steve

Thanks Steve, I purchased a new home. Wont be as big. At 50, my body cant take another 12 years

Cesar

50 !   You're a young man.  I know what you mean however.  During my career as a carpenter, I thought my body was just another tool.   Well, tools wear out, don't they.....LOL
