After long and hard thought for the last 14 years while building my layout, I finally arrived a what I feel a fitting named for my layout.  I felt I would name it after my father and my father-in-law.  I think the name works pretty well with the many railroads of the past.  I call it "The L&E". The letters stand for Lewis and Edmond.  My father gave me my first train a Lionel 2026 steam engine and cars for Christmas of 1950.  I still have it today and it still runs and looks like new.  I was only allowed to play with it when dad was home from work as it cost $28.00 for the set including transformer and track.  My father-in-law worked at Cadillac and was the checker champ at lunch hour.  So I thought

                                                                                "The Lewis & Edmond  R.R.

would be a nice tribute to two great men.  I just want to come up with the right herald colors to go with the name.  God rest them both.
