Lots of train action in this update. 2 years and 8 months since we started. Still a long way to go, but it's time to run trains for Christmas.
Full 1080p HD... full screen if you have a fast connection: Enjoy!

I can't wait to have time to watch this!
WOW!!
Your layout looks great! The engine service area is awesome. The scenery where done looks super and your trackwork is straight and true. The progress you've made is amazing! You deserve to take some time off and enjoy just running trains.
Merry Christmas and thanks for the fine video. It was a pleasure to watch.
That very cool.
Dan
Hi Doug, Merry Christmas to you your wife and Mom and Dad.
This update was great, the layout is coming along great. I love the Christmas Tree with all the train ornaments. Anything you've put your hands on, has turned to gold. Everything on the layout looks so realistic. Looking forward to the next update
Thanks,
Alex
A lot of train action in this video. Well done with all the LED lights. Cab forward is the best steam power. Video is the best way to view a layout. Well done.
• Cheers from Michigan
It looks amazing. Very impressive. You seemed a little frustrated talking about the groundwork. Just remember, being frustrated and miserable is all part of O gauge railroading!
you have done a great job so far, I can't wait to see what the rest will look like.
Love the video. Your right about the Arttista booth at York. You go just to check out a few of the figures and before you know it you drop a hundred. Same thing with Model Tech Studios.
Doug, been thinking of adding the MTH lights around my turntable. Yours look great. The flat black looks so much better than the gray.
Did you change out the bulbs for LED's ?
Did you modify the bases ? You really hid how they are mounted to the surface. No screws in site.
Great layout it must be a lot of work. Keep the videos coming
simply outstanding!
Doug,
Excellent video and layout. I really like the ground cover details - among many other things, that is -
Thank you for sharing!
Alex
Amazing layout & video.
You seemed a little frustrated talking about the groundwork. Just remember, being frustrated and miserable is all part of O gauge railroading!
Yeah I've been a little frustrated with the ground cover over by the diesel building. I was trying to get it done to shoot the video, so that was part of the problem. I don't like working under pressure or on a time line.
It's better than it was, still needs some more work. The funny thing is, because the layout is so tall, and there is always cars or caboose(s) parked there, no one will even see most it anyway.
Doug,
Excellent video of a superb layout - can't wait for update #7
I love your service facility it is totally awesome. I felt like it was real. It really makes your layout come to life.
Chris
Thanks for posting the video Doug. Your layout looks great, a lot of work for sure. Your yard area and ground cover are awesome.

Turned out great, Doug. BTW, your engine facility appears in the Millhouse River ad on the back cover of O Scale Trains Nov/Dec 2014 issue. Told the wife I knew who's layout that was. Somehow she wasn't surprised.
Doug 1st off like your choice of shirts!!!!!!!!!!! Now to a couple of issues i have 1) should be eastern railroads (sorry i'm a Pennsy guy) 2) location of the railroad (should be at my house). seriously what a fantastic layout you have
Wow! Not sure I can say anything that hasn't already been said. Doug hope that invite still stands. Would enjoy seeing your layout and humbly running ine of my engines on it. Maybe Santa or my Mrs. will bring me that GOPRO camera I've been wanting. Would love to take some cab view video going around one of your main lines and especially on the turntable.
Merry Xmas thanks for putting this update together.
Doug,
What a wonderful video and railroad. I love the SP.
Merry Christmas,
Ron
Nice update Doug. The engine servicing facilities look fabulous! Love what you did to the Lionel coal tower. I might have to do the same to mine after the holidays.
Thanks for the update and Merry Christmas to you and your family.
You're coming along really nicely Doug - the shop facilities look terrific.
Was admiring your smooth trackwork too and wanted to ask if you are using pre-formed curves (Ross) or just GG flex?
Doug, Did you make a updated video number 5? I looked on you youtube channel but did not see a 5.
Loved them all so far.
David
