Anyone know what tip ends are on Lionel's LCS cables and where to get them?
Thanks,

The LCS connectors are the Molex Pico-Spox 1.5mm connectors. Molex 0874390500, the pins are Molex 0874210000. I crimp them with the Engineer PA-09 Crimper, the same tool I use for most Lionel and MTH connectors.
Thank you sir!

What cable do you use?
Thanks,
Joe
I haven't built any, I just know what they are. FWIW, those connectors are also compatible with the JST-ZH 1.5mm connectors, sometimes easier to find. I tried a 5-pin JST-ZH cable in the LCS connectors, a perfect fit.

Do you think this could work?
The attached file shows the pinouts and colors for Lionel's PDI cable. I don't have a scope so I never resolved assigning pin 3 and 4 as TxData and RxData.
The five conductor cable you found should work with a re-mapping of colors.
Thanks all!
Probably should work, it does look a lot heftier than the LCS cables...
I'll try it and see what happens.

Would you happen to know the Molex type/model number for the six pin end used on the IR boards?
I would like to extend the length of my existing cables so that I can have all the LCS modules in one place. I know Lionel recommends against this as it may degrade the signal. But I would like to try anyway.
I could cut the existing cable in half and just add on the length I need, but may be better off making a new one.
What do you think.
Thanks for your help. Joe

Molex 0874390600 is the six pin version, same pins, Molex 0874210000.
