My Legacy System failed and I installed a new legacy base and cab 2 remote. Spent 2 sessions programing and installing locomotives. Everything worked well. However, tonight I attempted to install more locomotives and the touch screen key pad is dark. I can barely see the numbers & icons if I tilt it just right. The key pad functions work but they are faint & almost impossible to see. Has anyone experienced a similar problem and know a solution? Thanks for any help.

Pages 48-50 of the Legacy v.1.6 manual contain instructions for adjusting the keypad brightness/contrast, and also the duration that the keypad stays backlit after you enter a command. You access these controls by pressing the red CTC button and going to info, where a series of settings can be found by scrolling using the throttle wheel. There’s a number of settings you can change by accident and that might have happened in your case. I would have thought that the keypad would default to mid-range contrast but you never know.

Dave,
While you're dealing with the new headache don't forget to send your original failed system back to Lionel for repair. As far as we know they are still being repaired free of charge under warranty, as has been the case from day 1.

Hancock52 Thanks for the reply. Read pages 48 - 50. Got the screen contrast adjusted, locomotives programed & entered. System now works as expected.
Mike, Thanks for the advice. I will see if lionel is still providing cost free service for Legacy systems.
Just call for an RMA, pretty sure they're still fixing them under warranty.
