We were on a road trip to catch the Cumbres & Toltec railroad. Driving through New Mexico we started seeing old Rio Grande box cars. It seemed like every other farm had one. They must have sold a ton of them for storage. No trucks were on the cars. They looked like the old Lionel 6464
box cars to me. Nice seeing them. Don

I saw a number of Grande cars on the way to same destination several years ago, but it was in Colorado south of Alamosa..now l am not sure whether the cars were on trucks or not? I seem to remember them in strings.

I have several pictures of freight cars that seem to be no longer maintain but look to be on public display. Most of these are from the White Mountains area of new Hampshire. These two cars have been in the same place near Bartlett for several years and I would consider them abandoned.
