light smoke from my mth Texas | O Gauge Railroading On Line Forum

I just picked up my new MTH Texas after a multi-year pre-order. it smoked fine the few minutes we tested it at the store. I put Megasteam hichory in the stack and the smoke was barely visible. added mth smoke, same result. I verified it is turned all the way up but still faint and barely a smell enters the room.

Have you taken the top off and made sure the smoke unit plug-in is fully seated?

Maybe you missed the smoke stack when filling it is another thing.

So open it and see, is the best I can tell you.

Sounds like you drowned it. Number one cause of smoke unit problems in overfilling. Turn it upside down over paper towels overnight and try tomorrow.

You've probably overfilled it! Run it for awhile...or turn it upside down and try to get excess fluids out.

Definitely over filled the unit. Do what Paul and Erie said above, it will correct the problem
