How do the 36 amp and 72 watt lionchief power supplies match up being DC to the AC transformers like the CW-80 and GW-180? The whole DC vs. AC wattage comparison I think is what I am asking.

36 watts - ~2 amps
72 watts - ~4 amps
CW-80 - 5 amps
GW-180 - 10 amps
LionChief doesn't differentiate whether it's getting AC or DC, it works the same on both.
thank you
I’m curious about the 72 watt, 4 amp, LionChief wall pack Power supply, 6-81603. The catalog doesn’t specify whether it outputs AC or DC. I guess the assumption would be DC because it uses the LionChief product name. It would be a nice if they spent the extra money printing the two extra letters “DC” to verify the point. I’m not sure but I think it’s the only Lionel Power supply description that doesn’t verify the type of output.
Strange they omitted that but I've always assumed it is DC, mostly because LC will operate on DC and it looks like a DC rather than AC power supply.
They might have left the DC out because they may change the power supply at will depending on price, availability, etc. They can run on either so whether it's AC or DC doesn't much matter. Just my opinion as I don't have any Lionchief stuff.
