I've got a Lionel 0440 Signal Bridge and am unsure how to wire it up. I'm perplexed as it only has 4 sockets a head - I was expecting 5. Additionally, you can see it dosen't have any bulbs - I'm curious as to what bulbs it would take from the factory; I'm hoping they are yellow, or that there would be a frosted yellow equivalent. I'm just looking to figure out what the 4 terminals on each maroon base mean for each signal head. I'm likely not going to use the control panels but instead insulated blocks or O22 switch position to trigger the horizontal or vertical lighting of the heads.

P.S. I know this is technically a standard gauge item, but I'm going to sneak it on my O layout.

Anyone got a lead on these "covers"? I'm guessing I will need to.

I'm also looking for the correct bulb numbers.

As for the control panels, the one pictured on the left is a 439, the one on the right is a 440C. I stated above that I do not plan on using the 440C, but rather an insulated block or O22 to control the signals.

Wiring on 440 base from my original 440.

terminal 1 ground

terminal 2 top and bottom bulb power

terminal 3 top and bottom bulb power

(terminal 2 and 3 are wired together with jumper)

terminal 4 right and left bulb power

And same on other base to control signal closest to that base.

There is no center bulb, the center lens is lighted by the other bulbs light.

A relay could be used to control the lights instead of the 440c, with the relay activated by a control track rail.

There is a metal bulb shade that sits in there like in a X pattern and a white paper diffuser that goes inside the lens cover, that sort of reflects the light to the middle position...

I got the head casings but they didn't come with any lense cover or reflector - I've tried all my standard parts places but come up empty. Where can I get these or can I make my own?
