Running wise, I have to imagine it can't be too different from the TMCC Warhorse J from two years earlier. They share the same 746 tooling after all. As for Railsounds, I THINK the Commodore Vanderbilt from 1999 had 2.5. Below is the only video I could find of it on YouTube, and unfortunately only the chuffing is heard. TM's "Lionel Legends: The Hudson" also features it:

Seems I recall hearing back then that this particular engine was somewhat of a rough runner, at least initially until it got broken in. Similar to all Pullmor motored engines, but this one took more loosening up than others. It's been quite a while since it came out, obviously, but I do remember some questions about its capabilities as a runner. That wouldn't keep me from getting one if I were in the market, though, and found it at a good price, but it would be good to get a running report on it first.
