I don't know if it came with others but the Lionel #292 set is a 248 with 1 529/629 Pullman and 1 529/630 Observation.  The only differences in the 529/629 and 530/630 is color.  Those cars went through some changes as well.  There were 4 frame variations.  Check this site for more specific information on the different versions of the 248 and 529/629 - 530/630:

According to Dave McEntarfer's authoritative book "Lionel Trains 1901-1942 Vol. IV Prewar Sets" the 248 was mated with these cars:

Loco Color

Dark Green    629, 630

Orange          831, 807

Orange          629, 630

Olive Green    831, 807

Terra Cotta    603, 604 (orange-yellow)

Red          831, 807

Red          629, 630

Red          603, 604 (red/black)

Red          831, 804, 807

Red          629, 629, 630

Red          629, 629, 630 (Special #1) (cars could be 4 or 8 wheeled)

Red          629, 629, 630 (Special #5006X) (cars had 4-wheel trucks)

(Note: The 248 never came from Lionel with 529, 530 cars.)

They look good with any of Lionel 4-wheel cars.
