The two 6v lamps that are diagonally opposed are wired in series.

The power comes up the center pole, goes through the metallic shroud of the lamp, and then connects to the diagonal lamp through the wire out the backs. The outer shroud of that diagonally opposite lamp is connected to the frame of the 395 which is connected to ground.

This is repeated for the other set of lamps.

Two of each head are in series. If you look at center of the top, you will see a "sandwich" of the lampholding arms (395-15) and fibre insulators (395-18), you want to connect the back ends of the lampholders (center lamp contacts 151-38) of the "lower" and "upper" parts of the sandwich with a single wire (repeat for the other two). The circuit is completed by the lampholding arms via the housings themselves (70-2). Power itself is supplied in the regular manner via the central long rod to the insulated Fahnestock clip on the bottom, with the other clip directly grounded to the tower structure and completing the circuit via small tabs in the top of the tower in direct contact with the lower lampholding arm.
