Do I recall that in the movie, "On the Beach" there was a Lionel 746 N&W J on a table? The same scene with the coke bottle attached to a blind somehow tapping out what they thought was Morse code - have I got that all confused? I looked up the 55 trivia things from the movie and the Lionel train did not appear. Some help please ... and thanks in advance. Len

Well, at least it is possible from a timing perspective. The 746 was issued in 1957 and the movie came out in 1959 which means filming probably was as early as 1958.
It's on YouTube.
TY! I'll check it out! Len
Around 1:36. I didn't see a locomotive. I didn't linger.
I watched the movie - beginning to end - did NOT see the 746. Must have been in another movie. Thanks everyone for your help. Maybe I can return the favor sometime in the future. Len
Maybe this movie ??? - love this scene with 746 freight set on Super O track
