Does anyone know if the 993 remote can be used with the new Base 3?

Just to clarify:

There's no such thing as a 993 remote. There's a 993 Expansion Set that includes a CAB-2 remote and a charger base. This is the exact same CAB-2 remote that's in the 990 Command Set, which includes a 992 command base/charger. The CAB-2 remote, from either set, will work with the new Base3--because it is the same remote.

The 993 Expansion Set was offered so operators could add an additional CAB-2 (and charger) to their setup. Only one command base is need for a layout, so only a charger, not a command base/charger, is included in the Expansion Set. If you get the Base3, you'll have no need for the 992 command base other than for its charger function.

Please remind me never to ask another question.  The rivet counters are too much😜

Wow, the play on words, the neat part of this thread is the old pirate will have a neat Legacy Command Set, and another Cab 2 with charger for backup or another friend to share in the fun. Congratulations on your recent acquisitions. When cab 3 comes out late in the year, you can store up the cab 2 base and use the cab 3 as the dominate base. A cab 1L remote, by itself, would be good to have on hand to. Happy Railroading Everyone
