Looking to find the tiny American Flags that go on either side of the cab on the Lionel Legacy WM F7-AA set. They are only about 1/4" square on a silver pin and seem to have vaporized into thin air.

The part # is 610-8053-100.

They do not appear to be available through Lionel, Brasseur, E-bay or any of the other usual Lionel parts sites.

Any help is appreciated - thanks.

Thanks, Chris - they look very close in size (hard to tell from the pic if the pin is tinted green - for Pennsy colors ?) and appear to be in stock at Lionel.

I tried to call them to see if they could tell me if they are basically identical, but they are closed for the day.

I'll let you know after I speak with them.

Thanks, again.

Richie,

I see the pin as silver. I found it from a Santa Fe F-3. For the $1.00 that you'll spend for the pair (This weekend is Lionels 50% off sale) its worth a throw of the dice!

Chris,

The flags came in from Lionel yesterday and they are the same style and dimensions. About the only difference is that the pins on my WM flags are totally smooth and the new ones have a rough "serrated" type surface which is barely noticeable to the naked eye. Other than that they are identical and I can certainly live with that, especially since I got 4 of them and they'll all match.

Thanks again.

Since they are tiny and Lionel has made many flags in various sizes over the years, I was simply trying to give any viewers of this topic an estimate of the size of the flags in the hope they would be able to assist in locating a replacement part (as Chris was able to do), but thank you for reminding us of the standard American flag dimensions.

Although their dimunitive size makes it difficult to precisely measure their exact height and length, they appear to be dimensionally accurate.

Thanks again.
