I will likely order this new engine in the Phase III design to pull my MTH Amtrak Premier Superliner cars.

Who else has ordered or is buying and what do you plan to run behind it.

Also, how many are also buying the non-powered Cabbage version?

Thanks!

I look forward to your replies.

I already have two of the k-line phase III F40's.

How the F40 compares with Atlas O B32-8

I want to see if there are any major decorating differences between the two. I ordered two of the phase II schemes to haul the upcoming Amtrak CZ set that I should have by the end of the month.

I just ordered the 6-82456 #388 Ph III F40PH from forum sponser Charles Ro.

So far I am holding off on the "cabbage" unpowered unit.

Lionel shows November 2016 shipping and Ro mentioned December.

I am looking forward to seeing this one in person. I wish I was going to York - likely will be at the Lionel booth. Now that I live almost 3,000 miles away, York is just one of those terrific memories!

This will be another well earned birthday to myself!

I think this is an exciting offering from Lionel. I run 2 rail and I have a ton of stuff coming in, including a MTH 2 rail version. So I'm making excuses why I did not order these. They were almost enough, to make me add Legacy right now. If I would have bought the Acela, I would have Legacy already. I had some difficulties running multiple systems and have stalled on adding my three rail loop again.

All this, and I still have to say that Lionel is keeping things moving in O. I did order some of their cars. I think that it is the right time to be offering scale quality models in Amtrak. The interest seems like it should be high, to me anyways.
