Today I added chokes to the pick up rollers and upgraded smoke units for more air and installed new wicks. Checked out the belt driven fans but that's for another day.
Since I have acquired this set they have always been run MU'd (lash-up) with a cab 2 remote. After working on them I tested both units individually. TM1 is just fine. TM2 the rear headlight stays on continuously regardless of direction button on remote. In lash up state it is just fine and stays off. In this part of the design of the AA set or should each be its own stand alone unit and I have another issue?
With that said it did make me wonder why there are crew figures in engine 1 and not in engine 2.
