The tether has five pins, so I would imagine more than just power. Power is a must though, there are no pickups on the tender.
I thought all TMCC / Legacy tenders get power from the roller pick ups. The wireless tether receives communications from the engine.

The S-2 turbine has the AC Pullmor motor, just like all the other Century Club 1 engines.

Think he means the add-on tender for the Turbine from CCI, as the Niagara does not have a tether, it's infra-red wireless.

I remember these tenders were an ordeal....something about the way it was packed rubbed all these markes one the tender body.
