Lionel Chicken Car needs work

I just picked up the Lionel Chicken Car, I think it is number 6-26796. It's red, has no number or lettering on it.

The sound works, if I hit the switch manually, but the man is loose inside and I don't know how to re-attach the bracket to the tab on the car.

Anyone got a photo that I can use as a reference?
