Do all the Erie FA-2 Diesels have a "grain of wheat" bulb hanging above the rear engine door? The engine has a nicely positioned back-up light. What is the grain of wheat bulb for? It is poorly mounted and is on all of the time. It looks out of place.

They are great. I love them.
I mean the engines not the bulb.
I have several from this run of alcos. I will check them and let you know.

Yes. All these FAs have that dumb light bulb. I assume there must be a light above the door on the real thing but the execution is poor. If you open the shell you can easily unplug the light, problem solved.
