I have purchased a few Lionel Fastrack 0-72 command control switches in the past few weeks. And some of them won't program, or after programmed , quit responding in a short time. I'm getting tired of sending them back, is there something I could do. I wonder what's going on. Appreciate any in-sight. Thank You, Shylo

I had the same problem. I found out the program button was shorting to the plate underneath. I was able to bend the plate out of the way to correct the problem.
Thanks Bill, I will follow up on this making sure the program button doesn't contact the metal plate on the bottom of the fastrack switches. In fact this makes me remember when I took the metal plate off of a switch and it started working and I didn't know why. Mystery Solved! Thank You! Shylo
Gentlemen,
I must be lucky because none of this has happened with my FTCC Switches. I did have a problem with one of my 072 LH switch picking up the signal delivered from the Cab2 after 2 years of operating correctly, and I had to purchase an LED complete slide in unit for a failed LED on another RH FTCC Switch right out of the box. Now I only own about 18 FTCC Switches at this time, and all my FTCC switches are from the 1st generation, except for my 2 new 036 switches, which I picked up from another OGR member.

Dave, On the FTCC Switches, did you order the LED Slide Switch from lionel. Thank You, Shylo
SHYLO,
I ordered the 610-2045-126 Replacement LED Lantern Station on line from Only 3 Rail 7245 Gilpin Way #220, Denver, Co 80229. Denventrains@aol.com You can also find the other thread with Chuck's e-mail in it using, the OGR search. Chuck is great to deal with, sent me the LED Slide in Units, before he even got my money. I highly recommend doing business with him.
