Would anyone know the grade percentage of the Lionel 110 graduated trestle set when used with "O" gauge tubular track ?

Dan, my 110 Instruction Sheet states that 12 full sections of track are required for the up- and down-grade. The tallest trestle bent ‘A’ is 4 3/4” tall, so I calculated a 4% grade (4.75 / 120).
hope this helps, Wally
Dan, Wally is correct. It is about 5 percent for "O27" gauge and about 4 percent for "O" gauge.
I lessen the grade by using the LONG pieces of track. In O27 they are 36" long. I place one bent at each end and only one in between. That's one bent every 18" which cuts down considerably on the slope. Of course it eats up a lot more real estate getting to the top!

Dan, if you need any parts or additional sets, I have six complete sets available. Just an FYI.
I believe that there is a vertical curve in and a verticle curve out, so in the middle where the track is on a constant grade, the grade will be a little steeper than indicated above. I believe the trestle set was well designed. Some day I will measure each piece and plot the results to see exactly what Lionel did.
