I am interested in the Donner Pass Freight Set in the new Lionel catalog. However, it does not appear to come with any track or means of controlling the locomotive. I run all of my MTH locomotives with either a DCS Remote Commander or DCS Explorer, both of which I got via new MTH train sets.
Assuming this Lionel set does not come with any Legacy hardware, what options are there for command control? Does Lionel make a cheap, basic controller like the DCS Remote Commander? Can I just connect my phone directly to the locomotive and use the app like I do with my daughter's Frozen Lion Chief set?
