Just imagine any electric engine.

The whistle is an air whistle and the bell sounds like a quick hand rung bell(think Arbys)

I'd be curious to hear if the cars include station names along the route of the train.

No, they do not.

The towercom calls the engine number, the road number and all aboard.

It's just like a typical RS4 engine. That sucks.

Well... they are RS4, right?

Yes But I was thinking it would have like station announcements of some kind.

Unfortunately not, I had the Reading set for a short while.

The reading would've been the one I got. OTOH, the earlier conventional PRR set sounds decent.

Lionel MU version - no problems. Like the motor sound.

MTH MU has been to MTH for repair. Slipping gears cant pull 6 cars on a flat surface using 042 curves. MTH had to add 6 more oz of metal weight and fix the gears. No old style motor sound, just the general PS2 station stops and chatter.

                        MTH left                                     Lionel right

That can't be right... the conventional Pennsylvania MU cars from the early 1990's didn't have sound of any kind.

Aren't these the 90s ones here? https://youtu.be/h2TYSoBKgk0

Those MU cars are definitely not Lionel.

Maybe MTH?
