Hi, About 10 or so years ago Lionel made some nice New Haven PA's. They did not have Legacy as it was not out yet but has odessy cruise control. I'm thinking about getting a pair as I need a good passenger loco as my 3rd rail NH FL-9 is just a terrible engine. I know I'm the only non-3rd rail fan. But if any of you have these New Haven PA's, how do they run? If you run them with the Legacy cab 2, how do they run? and how is the sound?

thanks!

I have the same era PA's in Santa Fe, Rio Grande, and a set of Legacy Union Pacifics. They all perform very well with good sounds, smoke, and decent pulling power. Most have powered B units if you need more. You shouldn't be disappointed.  Watch carefully for the New Havens as they appear in widely different price ranges. Have seen them touted as 'rare' with high prices of $800-$900 as well as a couple of times down to a more reasonable $350 -$400.  They are quite handsome...
