I Just bought a Lionel Bigboy From 1999. It arrived with the piece that holds the piping to the cylinder broken. After taking the front of the engine apart I could see the part that is broken is only about 5/8 square. This is a really easy fix. Would Lionel have this part? If not then I will need to send the engine back to the seller. Thanks John

You can check by starting with the catalog number (6-xxxxxx).
Go to the Lionel site, "Customer Service" --> "Replacement Parts". Type in the model number, it should come up with description of the engine. If you click "View parts", there will be a diagram shown. Find your part in the diagram, then look at the list below the diagram and see if it's available for order.
IF it's catalog 6-28029 (I did not have a 1999 catalog handy to check), this is the link to the parts list and picture. It looks like most of the parts actually say available, so you might be in luck.

Thanks Dave. John
Yes, i believe we have the part. It comes from the JLC challenger. Requires the steam chest to be changed. Takes all of 30 minutes to swap it out! Look at the part list under "replacement parts" for a complete listing.
