Shopping carts yesterday were showing the discount. I placed a parts order today but did NOT receive the 50% discount. It's like their website stopped honoring the promotion before it was set to expire.
Has anyone else been successful?

I placed an order on Friday morning, and received the discount.
There were a few items on my list that were no longer available.
I hope the rest of my order can be filled.
They make a higher profit this way.
I would contact Lionel on Monday. I'm sure they'll honor the discount.

I phoned them last week and yes there was supposed to be a discount this week-end until Sunday evening.
I spent two hours listing the parts I needed and NO DISCOUNT.
So I did not order the parts!
I hope some one can straighten this out?

Unfortunately, the credit card is being billed the full amount, so I wrote a note to TalktoUs@Lionel.com with the list of parts I intended to order with a screen shot that shows the time and date. Will see what they say.

At the top of this thread, I posted a screen shot from the Lionel website where it states the sale is until 11:59 pm tonight. Then I went ahead and ordered. I'll have to chase after getting my money back tomorrow. I debated not ordering, but felt I would be in a better position if I went ahead.

The other question is I need to purchase some Vision Line Challenger parts that were missing on my locomotive... they are call only parts. tool box and scale pilot....
Hope I can purchase these too?

I have the same problem. There are many parts, particularly sound PCB's, which state "MUST CONTACT LIONEL TO ORDER". Hard to know how to handle this as the sale mostly occurs only when Lionel is closed for business and can't be called.

I also just put in an order. I was going to do it earlier today but was hesitant because it wasn't showing a 50% discount as they advertised on there website. I sure hope they will honor the discount.
Again the only advice I can give is contact Lionel if the discount did not register. They should know when you ordered so I cannot believe it will be a problem. I suspect the website might have been setup incorrectly to register the discount.

Just got off the phone and there was a glitch in the system which ended the part discount early in the week-end.
I phoned and was able to reestablish my order this morning with help from people @ Lionel with the 50% discount.
They were a huge help and sounded distressed with ton of orders coming in and they needed to be redone.
If you have an order in, phone and they will work it out for you. have your order number ready.
As usual great help from Lionel and they work it out in minutes...
Word to the wise, have the product numbers ready of the item you need repaired and the website open to confirm PN's. really made things easier...

Ditto. To those that had issues have your credit card handy when you call - they have to cancel the order and reenter with new (50% discounted) payment.
Interesting, we ordered parts 2 weeks ago and didn't get an email saying they were having a 50% off sale. As to going to the newly refurbished Lionel web site, it is such a painful experience now we don't frequent it much anymore.
Lame, I just ordered parts last week. If id known that I would have waited. Oh well
After I placed the order last night with Lionel I sent them an email through their "contact use". I just finished reading the latest posts here and was reaching for the telephone to call them about my order, when the phone rang. It was a very nice young lady from Lionel calling about my order. They had re-entered it in their system with the 50% discount and she needed my credit card info as the original was voided.
I am very satisfied and happy with their pro-active response.

There have been a couple threads on the Warehouse sale and even a couple specifically asking about the 50% parts that they've done in the past. I would reference their website but that teeny tiny "News" link doesn't help.

It has been a rarity in the last 2 years that I have needed to buy parts direct from Lionel. I still got a pretty good deal ordering them from my preferred Lionel dealer so Im not too bummed out. the difference is about $15. No big deal

I took advantage of it on Sunday, I ordered a ton of parts and got the 50% off :-)
Wish I was closer for the warehouse sale.
As for the parts deal had not looked at the posts on warehouse sale as to far away and put in a big parts order a couple of days before the sale and seeing this thread posted!
Oh well at least have my parts coming that I need for repairs.

I order a few parts around 9:30 pm last night. There was no discount on check out. Lionel called me today and corrected the discount.

Well, it looks like everyone (myself included) was contacted by Lionel to correct the billing error. What a fantastic sale!
For those who missed out, do what I did - put an alarm into your iPhone to remind you. It's worth holding out for it...
I also put the parts sale on my calendar.
I received an email from Lionel, my parts order was filled 100% and is on its way.

Unfortunately they required a signature. No one was home because we are working. Hopefully tomorrow I can convince my daughter to wait it out.
